A Full Review, Details and How To Get It - For Free! Bonus Included.

Stomping The Search Engines 2 is the follow up to the product that first turned the Stompernet guys (Andy Jenkins and Brad Fallon) into megastars. This time around, they’ve moved on from the originals CD format and now present a full DVD - and the launch of a brand new magazine.

Four years ago Stomping 1 was perhaps the biggest selling SEO product - ever. Now, Stomping The Search Engines 2 is destined to make even more online millionaires than the original.

As the title suggests, this is about SEO - Search Engine Optimization. STSE2 details the current methods used to get your site a good ranking. After all, if you are the top result for a good keyphrase in the natural-search listings at sites like Google you can literally write your own cheque.

The DVD

There are actually two DVDs because you also get a copy of the original STSE. Remember, that sold thousands of copies at $300 a time !

Once you put the DVD into your PC it will launch into a videoplayer, giving you access to all the videos in the product. It starts with an overview of the pros and cons of SEO.

There are 7 modules, 36 videos in all. The introduction section kicks off short-term tactics you can use, and a look at what they call “agressive white hat” SEO. Then it moves on to discussions of the actual technology behind the major the major search engines, before it gets to the really juicy stuff.

For example, the videos on keywords and content structure will really open your eyes to how to properly design a website destined for high rankings, as will the shows about optimizing your site content, and your site structure.

Don’t worry if all this sounds a bit techy. The presentation is easy to follow!

By the time we’ve passed through the all important linking and promotion section, we’re well on our way to become search engine guru’s ourselves :-)

The final section may be the most important: measuring results, and tweaking your site(s) to improve them. After all, we can’t remain stationary - someone else may make a play for our enviable top ranks…

This is only an overview of the video content. If you’ve ever seen any of the Stompernet videos that have circulated online, you’ll understand how professional the presentation is, and how informative. It’s information you want - so feel free to take notes, pause or rewind where neccessary, or (as I did) jot down the times of interesting sections in the videos so you can revisit.

And once you’ve watched all the videos (first time around, anyway - I’m sure you’ll revisit them) be sure to check out the resources on the DVD. You’ll find the Stompernet Directory List (an invaluable links collection) and the Keyword Strategy Guide!

Whatever your current level of expertise STSE2 will help you aim for, and achieve, those high front-page Google listings…

Stomping The Search Engines 2

Other things I’ve picked up from these videos - in no particular order:

How to avoid accidental duplicate content
What you can get penalized on by the Search Engines
“Canonicalization” of your content
Don’t use - or trust - Google’s inbound link count
Some “competitiors” may acually be good partners
Target the head - but mine the “long tail”

I could go on, I’m only dipping into a few videos to give you an overview, but you should get the idea.

The Magazine

The new publication, called The Net Effect, is included with STSE2. Remember, this is a physical product, so it’s a hardcopy, printed out professionally for you to read anywhere.

It’s an Internet Marketing magazine that goes above and beyond anything you’ve seen before. You can read it all in one go, or dip in and out - and probably be buzzing with ideas to implement.

In this first issue you’ll find a great article on the “Keyword Heist” technique, 26 Things To Test, Twittering Your Way To Traffic, and much more.

I especially enjoyed reading the Social Media Survival Guide!

This is - again - just an overview of the magazine, there’s a lot more included (”armour-piercing e-mail” anyone?) and you may find the Monthly Action Plan at the end very useful, as it brings everything you’ve learned so far together into a single-page plan to follow. My advice? Photocopy it or cut it out and stick it near your PC.

The Net Effect is designed to keep you up-to-date in the fast moving marketing and SEO world. Let’s face it, how many ebooks or websites do you actually read? Nothing beats a real “hold it in your hand” product. You’ll be looking forward to your snail mail each month :) This is an ongoing monthly journal for high-end SEO and Internet Marketing. A serious trade publication. It’s your business, your livelihood - so make sure you’ve got all the latest information to hand. Insider information from the Stompernet pro’s.

All in all Stomping The Search Engines 2 is an excellent product that is sure to benefit anyone working in the IM field today, whether they are a bedroom dabbler, or head of a company.

You already know the best part - it’s hardly a secret.

STSE2 is FREE.

And not just the “free” you see bandied about a lot in marketing campaigns. STSE2 is a very real $497 product, and “The Net Effect” magazine is worth $39 monthly…

The cat is now out of the proverbial bag. Get over to the website and claim your copy, before the Stompernet guys come to their senses!

Stomping The Search Engines 2

The page above is a good example of the professionalism of these guys. Look at the video, read the details, and get stoked up with what you could achieve. This is not some $7 screen-capture video product. This is not some re-hashed ebook. This is a very real SEO course especially designed for Internet Marketers, the people who really know how to make their livings online.

Once you decide to order at the above link, drop me a note via the support desk and I’ll send you a free bonus — even though STSE2 is free in itself…

P.S. Because the launch was delayed slightly due to demand the Stompernet guys have promised some special bonuses themselves as a “sorry” so be sure to check the link above to see what extras you get - above and beyond the review copy I’ve looked at here!

I came across this product today being promoted by quite a few marketers. It’s a report that details a neat way to get traffic, and it only costs $5.

This traffic technique involves using Squidoo and/or Hubpages to focus on your niche.

It’s not just creating a quick page, it’s how you list and promote that page that counts. And by using Google you can find exactly where your page should be posted for maximum traffic and pagerank.

You can send traffic to almost any page using the system, but it works best for detailed search terms. If your lens or hubpage is built around a affiliate program, perhaps a clickbank product, then you can expect sales as well as traffic!

Of course, you could also funnel this traffic through a lens or hubpage back to your own main site or blog, and gain extra visitors or subscribers that way.

This is a short, really simple technique and it’s refreshing in that it’s not full of fluff and filler.

$5 Traffic Method

The reason so many people are promoting this? It pays 100% Commissions!

Try this method if you need traffic, the kind of highly targeted traffic the search engines deliver. It’s simple to use and if you feel it’s of no use, and even though it’s only $5, you can have a full refund.

As you may have noticed, I’ve been experimenting with various third-party services on this blog. Most are to help increase it’s traffic and visibility.

The best places to find these services are actually on other blogs, and you’ve probably seen a few as you’ve surfed. In the interest of completeness, I’m listing the ones I currently use here.

So if you want more traffic to your blog, you might want to try some of these:

My Blog Log

This is a service from Yahoo and it’s designed as a networking system for bloggers.

Once you add your profile you can join various communities, add contacts, and follow other people and their blogs.

You’ll also get to add the cool widget you can see in the side menu, which tracks your visitors and adds their avatars to your site.

(There is another big blog social network, called Blog Catalog, that seems to have similar features to My Blog Log. I’m not too familiar with that, but I have registered, so time will tell which is most useful. Reading discussions around the web it seems My Blog Log can be spammy, so I may yet change…)

Twitter

This is not a blog service per se and I’m very much a newbie at it, but Twitter is a kind of micro-blogging system designed with text-messaging mobile phone users in mind.

However, with the pretty cool Twitter Tools plugin for Wordpress you can add your Twitter “Tweets” to your blog, automatically create a tweet whenever you post to your blog, and do the opposite - create a post for each tweet or a digest of the days tweets.

At present, I’m really using this as a quick headline system where I can post instant updates, but if you’re serious about it you can create contacts, follow people, run conversations, and use it from your mobile phone.

Blogupp

This is a straight traffic exchange, that uses screenshots of your blog to advertise it. Show their ads (it’s the double-height ad to the right) and yours will get shown on others sites.

Blog Top List

If you’re familiar with toplists you’ll know how they work. They were all the rage a few years back :-)

You earn credits every time you are voted for, and you can also earn credits every time you get a pageview.

Go ahead, click the “vote” button to the right. I’ll appreciate it!

There’s another blog/voting site that is pretty popular called FuelMyBlog.com.

Blog Showoff

This is a very, very (very) simple idea. Post your blog, and it goes to the top of the list. Eventually it will get pushed down the list as new blogs are added, but you can post again.

Told you it was simple…

Blog Explosion

This is really a traffic exchange, a “manual surf” site where you earn credits by viewing sites. The worth of sites like this is debatable, but it does generate a hit to your site, but not really a reader.

However this kind of traffic has it’s uses, especially if you’re running other counted ads on the same site :)

Zimbio

This works with your feed and posts articles you write to the Zimbio database. For your best articles, you can also post them to the relevant “wikizine”.

Zimbio also has a few other neat features, such as run polls, give and receive “kudos”, and even create your own magazine cover!

Entrecard

Entrecard had a big launch, and it bills itself as an electronic version of the business card. Basically - in reality it’s a 125×125 banner exchange with a twist

Add your card, and when you visit sites that are entrecard enabled, you can “drop” your card there. Doing so earns you credits, and with credits you can buy advertising space on other blogs. There are some extremely popular blogs involved in this, and of course the credit cost is higher with those.

You can also do things like send credits, buy services with your credits, review sites, etc.

To start you off, feel free to drop your card at this blog. The entrecard is to the left :) You’ll also get a link to your site from the widget below.

Tip: Join the Entrecard Dropsurf and you’ll be able to surf entrecard blogs and drop yours with ease! As a bonus the sites listed here will also link to yours via the recent drops widget.

Tip 2: If you want to create a quick banner, try free125cards.com

Tip 3: Use the Entrecard toolbar to surf 10 sites at once and to place ads on others.

BlogRush

This uses a widget that displays headlines from your feed, along with headlines from other partner blogs. You earn credits from displaying the widget, and in return your headlines are shown across other sites.

So yes, it’s another exchange, but it looks clean and tidy and can even add useful content to your site.,

Don’t forget the big social networks - Digg, Stumbleupon, Reddit and the new Yahoo Buzz. They’re not blog services as such, but they can generate insane amounts of traffic.

And finally, even though this post is detailing blog traffic services, general traffic tips also apply: Write in forums, comment on blogs, but above all create useful content for your own blog. Google will like that, and you’ll even find yourself getting “long tail” traffic from keywords you haven’t even intentionally targetted.

Do you know of any more, or use any other services? If so, please add them to the comments.

Here’s a list of 100 Forums that have the “Do Follow” tag enabled. That means you WILL get credited with a backlink just by posting and including your URL there. Googe PageRank is calculated from the links pointing at your site - one way links from high pr sites are best - so the more backlinks the better.

This list is courtesy of the Templates Treasure Blog ->

http://templatestreasure.blogspot.com/2008/08/100-do-follow-forums-to-increase.html

Please don’t spam these forms, so either post a new post or (easier) reply to existing posts. And if there’s a forum that you feel at home in, bookmark it and return again :-)

I’m experimenting with Squidoo. My first impressions are very favourable.

Squidoo lets you bulld “lenses” on almost any subject. Each lense takes the form of a list of modules, so for example you can have text modules, links, comments, voting, amazon feeds, ebay feeds, youtube videos… and much more.

I’ve already created two lenses - early days yet, but you can take a look to see how they work. And I’d very much appreciate it if you could rate them :)

Internet Marketing Beginners Guide

How To Build An Email List

Some of the modules in these lenses are community enabled, so for example you can add your own tips, vote the links and tips up and down, or leave a comment.

While I wouldn’t use Squidoo as a main site it’s fun and powerful enough to create quick single-subject pages on whatever you fancy. You can earn from your lenses too, from the built in advertising, as well as add your own paying links.

Also, Squidoo lenses can have a good pagerank, so linking your own sites from your lenses has a beneficial effect on your own link rankings. That, and the direct traffic from the squidoo community makes this a great place to expand your website promotion strategies.

Like any site that offers freeform page creation tools I’ve come across many sub-standard pages that are little more than pasted in feeds and some youtube/amazon/links sections. It’s all too easy to do this. If you do decide to make your own lenses please add some real content. It only benefits everyone in the long term…

(If you do try and like Squidoo, you may also want to join the free Squidoo Secrets site.)

You often hear claims of people earning “hands free, automatic income”. The good news is that this IS possible, albeit with a little work beforehand and some time spent on maintenance/updates.

The method most used is to set up content sites that target specific niches, and then serve ads on those pages. All that’s left in the equation is to drive traffic to the site.

Of course, nothing is ever really as simple as that so here’s a few tips to get you started:

1. The easiest way to run a content site is to use Wordpress, or your blog/cms platform of choice. Wordpress is a great staple because it’s very popular, has a lot of plugins and templates available, and is of course free.

Once you have decided upon your niche you only need to buy a domain name that has some of your keywords in it (or find an expired domain name), and then couple that new domain name to the host of your choice.

2. One of the most important steps is to build a list of keywords for the niche you are going to target. Luckily there are many online tools you can use for this.

Nichebot Classic (uses Wordtracker)
Google Keyword Tool
MSN Keyword Forecast (keyword counts)
MSN Keyword Tool

You can also use misspellings of keywords, and even misspellings of competitor domains:

Misspelled Keywords Tool

You can generate your own common misspellings by including run-on search terms (i.e. no spaces, such as “formulaone”), double letters, missing letters, and difficult-to-spell words.

You can find the keywords used by competitors, using Spyfu.com

And you can even find those competitors, by using Quantcast:
(look at the “audience also visits” list)

Finally, for some quick and easy traffic, you can use keywords based on the Digg.com front page (popular URLs), the Technorati top posts, Stumbleupon Buzz, etc. A site called http://www.populair.eu contains a handy list of these top sites.

3. Your next step is to write articles on each keyword, in your new wordpress blog. Some of the best types of articles to write include reviews, how-to’s, and tips. To help drive readers, you can use topics such as:

keyword+ “controversy”
keyword+ “tips” “advice” “help” “tricks”
keyword+ “scam”
keyword+ “free”

etc. For example: “Ipod Tips”, “Ipod Tricks”, “Ipod Help”, “Free Ipod”, “Ipod Secrets”, or for other subjects:

“Rich Jerk Scam”, “Rich Jerk Controversy”, “Rich Jerk Review” for a business-opportunity type site.

Your article need not be too long, it should include the main keywords in the post title, and perhaps within the post itself, but don’t overdo it. Don’t use content verbatim from other sites because google penalises duplicate content.

4. To add income streams for your articles you can simply use an appropriate template, or edit one to include ads. This saves you adding ad code to each individual post - though that option is still there.

Adsense is very popular, and easy to implement. Wordpress plugins such as:
Adsense Manager can help make it simple.

Alternately, a ready made adsense-focused theme can make it simple, such as those available at: Adsense Blog Themes

You can also edit your themes manually within wordpress to include adsense in other places. Popular areas include the head of the entire page, left-justified at the start of each post, at the foot of each post, or in the side-menus. Note that google limits the amount of ads shown on a page.

There are also other income sources you may want to pursue:

CPA networks offer to pay you on a cost-per-action basis. For example, a credit card company can pay you per application. That means no sale is needed, the visitor just has to fill in a form.

Popular CPA networks include:

http://www.Azoogleads.com
http://www.Maxbounty.com
http://www.CJ.Com (a mix of affiliate types)

There are many more, simply search Google for “CPA Network” :)

Kontera is a little different. It will turn relevant words on your site into paid links automatically.

Chitika can show “mini malls”, which include price information, small descriptions, etc for certain links. These can work well on some site types such as technology ones.

Clickbank primarily offers digital products such as e-books, with high payouts up to 75% per sale. A site such as CBProAds.com can show these, or you can include relevant products manually.

Finally, there are specialist blog-advertising networks such as Blogads and PayPerPost that advertise more directly to your audience. You usually need a more established blog with good traffic to benefit from these.

5. At this point, if all works well, you should be able to get *some* traffic from the search engines, just from your keywords and article content alone. Of course you’ll want to increase this.

Commenting on blogs, and arranging links with blogs, can help your seo rankings. Try commenting on sites that are currently experiencing a buzz - such as the Digg front page, stumbleupon buzz page, etc mentioned earlier in this article.

Viral traffic from sources such as a branded report, branded video, free template, free salespage/product, that you release can have an excellent effect on your traffic levels. If you can include your link in the salespage/template/website etc you give away it can spread all over the web and increase your backlinks.

You can buy traffic from Google Adwords, Yahoo Search Marketing, etc, but you have to be careful. The keyword lists you built up earlier can greatly help here. Try to focus on “long tail” keywords rather than general ones for cheaper hits. For example, don’t try and buy hits to a term such as “dogs”, try focusing with “dog grooming”, “dog grooming in ohio”, etc. The idea is to have a great number of lesser-searched terms rather than a few high-searched ones (which can be priced exhorbitantly).

Remember: backlinks to your site help with your search engine position (along with other factors), so whever possible - by writing reviews, comments, testimonials, articles etc - link from keywords not just your basic URL.

Other search engine factors are harder to influence, but in general links from authority sites (try getting links from sites with a high Page Rank or even from .edu sites etc), one-way links, the age of your site (obviously only achievable over time, unless you are lucky and find an aged site that has expired or is for sale), and the content on your site are the most important.

6. After all this is setup your site is mostly hands-free. You then have a few options:

Move directly onto creating another site in another niche.
Continue to write new content for your site.
Continue to seek out new backlinks, submit new articles, etc.
Start an e-mail list.
Create your own product to sell (such as an ebook), and get affiliates for your product.
Or even sell your site!

Traffic can come from many places. Apart from your regular visitors - perhaps fans of your site, visitors from your e-mail promotions, or contributors to your forum - those folk who find you from a search query are among the best.

These are qualified, pre-screened, visitors. They have come to your site expecting to find whatever it is they are looking for. And it’s the search engines job to match these searches with quality content.

The big search engines DO want you in their listings. Honestly - they’re not trying to exclude you, heck… they need you!

To that end they all provide various tools and guidelines to (a) ensure you meet the strict quality control and (b) ensure you are found for the right terms.

Google

Currently, the #1 search engine by almost every ranking method known to man. Google’s help and advice can be found at their Webmaster Central.

This section of their site includes their webmaster tools, their comprehensive Analytics software, their Optimizer to help you rank better, and information on submitting content: such as products, books, rss feeds, local listings and more.

The aforementioned tools are also worth a thorough look. Here you’ll find the all important Sitemap area where you can specify what pages on your site are indexed, and view statistics on the search terms you are found for and more.

Yahoo

Yahoo don’t offer an all in one webmaster area like Google, but you may find these links helpful:

Add Your URL To Yahoo - unless you want a paid submission, it’s usually quicker to get crawled from a link on a already listed URL. There are, however, special areas for submitting media and mobile sites.

Site Explorer - See what pages you have listed.

Other Yahoo Links - Webmaster Guidelines, Marketing Services etc.

MSN

Despite Microsofts efforts MSN Search isn’t as popular as the other two. They do however have a useful section at their latest incarnation, Live.com

Live.Com Webmaster Tools includes validation and authentication tools, guidelines, technical support, and a webmaster forum. Typical of Microsoft this looks rather corporate and the links can be confusing, but dig around and there’s quality information there :)
