Welcome to all E-Zine Blaze users! I hope you all enjoy this sample issue and decide to subscribe. Please consider upgrading to PRO with E-Zine Blaze. I'm a lover of everything FREE but even I upgraded! After reading the benefits (e-mail EVERY new Ezine Blazer and enter the matrix!) it seems stupid NOT to upgrade!
If you are not a member of Topica it may be worthwhile filling in their short form to be able to use the e-zine features to their full advantage.
A quick note: each issue of NNews follows a loose theme. The theme of this issue is "E-Zines" :)
On with the show!
The last few days I've been catching up on reading the many e-zines I am subscribed to. To be honest, I don't know how I came to be subscribed to half of them but a few things became clear while reading them.
Firstly, I'm finding repeat solo ads intrusive. I know why they are run, and it does only take a second to delete them, but I can't help feeling frustrated by the `form` ads supplied by various affiliate programs after I've seen them umpteen times! Note to anyone using solo-ads: Write your own!
Secondly some e-zines are obviously just ads themselves, masquerading as newsletters. I'm kind of in a difficult position here writing an e-zine myself. You may notice that I don't really use many ads here. That's just the way I like it! I feel an e-zine should be informative and entertaining. That way you should keep subscribers reading. Making money from it is secondary and implemented along the way. I personally don't feel it's good enough just to make an e-zine out of an ad and tack an article on the end!
Be selective in reading your e-zines and use a separate e-mail account for them. Any you like, keep. Any you dislike, unsubscribe. Simple! :-)
As always the forum is the place to go to discuss this issue, or other matters regarding to entrepreneurship on the net. Help others if you do not need help yourself!
Don't forget the amazing FREE i-boost package! Increase hits and signups by 500%! Click Here to try it!
Finally I'd like to mention site hosting again, just because I'm so happy with my current host! Websytz.com will host your site with packages from $3 a month!

Writing an E-Zine
Everyone is recommended to build a mail list and provide some sort of newsletter or e-zine to build a rapport with your customers. This serves a number of purposes, the main one being that you can provide offers to readers or keep your name/product/brand in their mind.
Writing an e-zine needn't be difficult. There are many free services to host and supply your e-zine and many, many free articles to provide content. Don't rely on this free content however. Provide at least some of it yourself, to make it unique.
Keep your e-zine to a consistent pattern. Let the reader feel comfortable and develop your own style. This makes it recognisable and helps you develop readers, rather than just subscribers!
What can you include in your e-zine? Here are some suggestions:
Editorial or Introduction
A perfect place for you to write your own piece. Just write whatever interests you or a run down of the issue.
Articles
Available from many web sources. Don't just chose them at random, ensure they fit the theme of the issue. Some free mini-articles at this link.
Tips or advice
Again, either written by you or supplied by third parties. You could also answer readers questions with a Q&A type feature.
Reviews
Products, sites, programs or whatever you wish. A good opportunity to use some affiliate-links as well.
Offers
Usually a good place for affiliate links or your own products.
Ads
Paid for, free ads, or your own. Some good services for advertising at our advertising page. Be careful with ads. If you must use them keep them to a minimum, or at least keep them from clogging up your main text.
If you keep a template file then all you need do for each issue is provide some or all of the above. Don't worry about blatant self-advertising as after all it is your own e-zine. Provide your URL and e-mail address everywhere!
The other aspects of e-zine production include promotion to gain subscribers and how you distribute it. Some quick tips for getting people to subscribe include adding a subscribe box to your web pages, advertising your e-zine in other e-zines or websites, offering free items or services to new subscribers or offering free ads in exchange for subscribing. Free ads can fill up an e-zine quickly, so take care. Free bonuses for subscribers needn't cost you anything and can even make you money such as branded e-books or affiliate offers. A subscribe box will have to be written in HTML using the `FORM` command and needs a little knowledge of cgi programming, but most services will provide the code for you.
Distributing your e-zine is either done through a third party service, specialist software, or free services. This e-zine is distributed through Topica which will maintain your list, archive past issues and provide HTML code for a subscriber box. Topica is at www.topica.com. You can also use Yahoo! Groups.
If you want to pay for distribution you can use software such as Mailloop (Click Here) or Opt-in Lightning ( Click Here ) or BambooBizOnline ( Click Here ). You can also
use services such as Listserv at www.lsoft.com or Lyris at www.dundee.net
Writing an e-zine can be both profitable and exciting. It is true that there are now thousands in competition but you can still carve out your own little niche. Don't put it off - there's no time like the present!
Increase sign-ups to your own e-zine by using Wes Blaylock's amazing "Subscriber Drive"! Using a pop-up exit window, viral marketing, and an MLM program you can get your message across. Discrete - doesn't interefere with your website - and FREE! Click Here to try it.
7 Useful Free Services For E-publishers
By Dejan Bizinger, SKYLIST, Inc.
If you want to have an online business, without doubt, you
should have your own newsletter. Why is that important? Most
people won't buy your product on their first visit to your
web site. They need your advice to buy exactly your
product because "it is the best, the cheapest" etc.
You can tell them when you will make an update, to visit your site again, and so you get repeat visits. You should provide ome useful content in your newsletter to make them stay as your subscribers.
When you decide to have a newsletter, you should promote it, so that you will have more people on your list. It is easy to build a big list very fast, if you pay for that. However, many people don't have much money to spend for their list promotion so they mostly must use free services. This brings up a good question? Which services are useful for e-publishing and are also free?
Here, I will write 7 services that I use and which have showed good results.
1. Swap ads
Swapping ads can be very useful. You have to find newsletters that have quality content and a contact to the owner. When you make a contact you have to write why you are interested in swapping ads with that newsletter. You have to tell about the benefits of swapping with you.
2. Article submit
It is very useful for list promotion to submit your articles to other publishers that are looking for some content. You should put a resource box at the end of your article where you will write who are you; you can also put your web site and list address... It is more likely that they will subscribe to your newsletter if they liked your article rather than reading your ad. You have to find those publishers who will be interested in your articles.
3. List submit
There are services where you can submit a description of your list or announce when you are going to publish it. These services can be useful because, they provide quality lists. Therefore, people can decide to subscribe to your list.
4. Participate in discussion lists
You can subscribe to discussion lists of your interest. When you post your answer you can include your resource box. If people find your answers useful it is more likely that they will subscribe to your newsletter.
5. Pick a domain name
If you want to have a professional newsletter you should
consider registering a domain name. Today it is not very easy to find a good domain name, especially a dot com name. However, there is a free service where you can get a list of domain names that are free because of non-payment. Also, you have to check if a certain name is available.
7. Search engines
There are many different opinions as to how useful are search engines. Having a good placement in a search engine for relevant words can be very useful for your list promotion. I must say that it is not worth submitting to every search engine. There are a few that are the most popular.
These 7 services can get you subscribers for your newsletter. Don't expect that you will immediately have several thousand subscribers using free services because it doesn't work that way. Don't believe in everything that you read on the Net, because you can be disappointed. E-publishing can be very useful for you and for your business if you use it in the right way, because, it establishes you as an expert in your field of expertise.

This is the GNU projects Mail List software. It does everything you want, including archiving, spam filters, mail-to-news and much, much more. Sounds perfect but there is one big problem - it only runs on Unix systems! :-( I realise this will exclude most of you but it's worth keeping an eye out for a windows port. Note that it will run on MacOs X since this is unix based.
Very capable (and free!) mail list hosting service. Topica will distribute and manage your list with the minimum of fuss. You can enter into their advertising program if you wish but you don't have to. Topica also offer a paid service with more features. It's ideal for starting your list.
