I've also received e-mails from Joe Cooper, Josh Anderson, Simon Hodgkinson and others stating that the site is a waste of money and that you can get free, ready-formated iPod Public Domain movies from other sites. I don't know what the score is here - and it's unusual to see this kind of `guru bashing`. I don't promote IpodMoviesGold, but I hear the site also gives you sales material, webpages and the like to help with selling the Ipod Movies. Many sites offer public domain products that you can find for free on the net and I haven't seen these kinds of e-mails before. For example, Project Gutenberg (a massive public domian text site) contains plenty of data you can use, but it hasn't stopped people joining "The Lost Files" or similar. In my opinion if you want the Ipod Movies for your own use, use the free site. If you want to re-sell, try Cody's. There are hundreds of situations everyday where I see products for sale that you could find for free (or at least the information for free) - but the art of marketing and copywriting is providing these to consumers as a time-saver or as a package. This has always been true. After all you don't have to ever buy an ebook at all, since the info is likely to be online or in a library, but you are paying to save yourself the effort.
