Hello ~~NAME~~,
This is the last `BIG` issue of Netpreneur News you'll receive. Our
quick vote shows most of you would prefer shorter, more frequent issues.
Don't worry about the email load, there won't be too many. We estimate

Christmas is only a few weeks away. Winter is here (for most of us) and
the days are drawing in. A perfect time to knuckle down to working on
your Online Business!
I've said it *many* times but making money on the Internet is NOT hard.
Most of us can earn some extra `pocket money` with a little bit of work.
There's very little left to chance. Almost anything you need to do has
been done by someone else, and they've written down how they've done it.
In other words - it's all been tried and tested many a time.
If there's one problem I can foresee it's that everyone is trying to do
the same thing. This means wherever you turn there's conflicting
information - and it's nearly always someone trying to sell you
something.
It's a big dilemma when marketing. Who do you believe? First - don't
fall into the trap of believing the `Guru's`. I've lost faith in them
because I see them endorsing almost every product that comes along. In
my eyes many of these `so-called` Guru's have lost credibility in one
way or another. Not all I hasten to add, but a large percentage. I'm not
naming names but you can see them coming from a mile away! If you see
the same names in the `endorsements` section of every sales letter than
that's a clue :-)
Second - don't buy everything that comes your way! Your profits will be
small when starting out and you'll want to ensure you put these profits
to work well. That is, use the money to make more money. Try to resist
the temptation to cash out small amounts.
Third - time management is important. Don't check your emails every 5
minutes. Don't spend all day at your computer or online, either. It's
too easy to get distracted. If you must do anything, write. It's the
most important skill you can develop. It's not the be all and end all so
don't worry too much if you don't have the head for writing. Write as
you speak - 9 times out of 10 that will give the right impression.
Lastly learn to see a good opportunity when it comes along and don't
jump on every bandwagon, unless it's free. Free is very powerful, since
you have nothing to lose, but some forms of `free` quickly trap you into
`paid` by frightening you into believing you're losing out. Many
downline based programs, for example, will bombard you with `signup
notices` urging you to upgrade or miss out on the potential downlines
you could be building. Don't believe a word of it!
Once you discover a few programs you like and can believe in stick with
them. It takes time. For example my own personal top programs include
Push Button Publishing, Referralware (a new addition to my collection,
lol!), Commission Spyder and more. Some I have dropped -AND- (I hold my
hands up here) been guilty of jumping onto without thinking, include
MegaOpp, Cash Evolution, Total Marketing Live and Empowerism. Mainly (
and here's another warning) because I believed the Downline Club model.
Downline Clubs are good. They're free and you get support, forums, help
and advice. BUT don't believe for a moment that everyone in the downline
club will upgrade to the latest super-duper system and build your
downline for you. In reality only a small percentage will upgrade and it'
s because of this: Most in the club, including yourself, are in because
it's free. And any one permanently seeking the Free will be afraid to
spend.
You need to spend to make money. Just choose wisely!
Your income depends on others spending money and theirs depends on you
spending yours. It's a balance of sorts so just believe in that
investment. Use your Time to multiply this investment, by promoting your
paid opportunity, and pretty soon it will be earning more than you are
paying. If the system is strong and you drive enough qualified visitors
to it then you're laughing all the way to bank.

Without Buying Them”
Are you being swarmed with endless surges
of new marketing ebooks being released?
If you’re not, listen – at last count there’re over
10,000 marketing related ebooks being sold online!
Nobody can buy them all, no matter how enticing their
sales copy made them out to be.
The easiest way to avoid the hype is to look deeply
into such offers and decide for yourself with a
logical mind.
That said, here are some methods to ‘steal’ any
marketing ebook without first rushing to put your
hard earned money down:
(1) Do A Trade Or Barter
This would be the quickest ‘no-cost’ way to do it.
Simply contact the authors, or resellers, to
negotiate a barter of their products with your own.

Another way is to really read the testimonials at the

Or are they genuine, objective and descriptive
testimonials?
You’ll always get a better idea of the ebook in
question with the latter type of testimonials.
You can also email the testimonial givers for their
feedback.
I’ve done this numerous times and it had been useful
in helping my buying decisions.
(3) Seek feedback
Try getting feedback of these ebooks before
purchasing them.
For example, use the search engines or forums
to seek reviews.
Go to http://www.google.com and type in “the ebook
name + reviews” and you’ll find gold. Read a few of
the reviews and suddenly everything becomes clearer.
Post in forums for genuine advice and feedback on
the ebooks. You can receive good responses using
this method.
How about emailing the authors themselves?
Ask them for more information about how their products
can help you. You may often get positive replies which
can be extremely beneficial to both parties.
Most ebook sites offer primers, ecourses etc.
as a follow-up strategy to lock in prospects.
You should subscribe to these.
What these primers and ecourses provide are really
skimmed-down versions of the ebooks.
In this way, it’s possible for you to ‘steal’ the
most critical information contained in these ebooks.
You’ll also have a clearer overview of the ebooks
with these ecourses, enabling you to make better
buying decisions.
The authors may also give ‘special deals’ after a few
days through the follow-up emails.
I can tell you there’re hardly any ‘secrets’ left,
so don’t go buying every other ebook that comes along.
Use the above methods and you’ll be able to ‘steal’
critical information on any marketing ebook. Buy it
when you’ve a better picture of the value it provides.
This can immediately save you much precious time and
money in the long-run.

Are you disappointed by lack of sales?
Here’s one way to change that … a Discussion Group.
I’ll show you right now, HOW to do it, and WHERE to go.
It will cost you nothing but your time. And it can be
very effective.
What is a Discussion Group?
Discussion groups are email or web-based forums where
people openly discuss the subject that pertains to the
group.
There are hundreds, possibly thousands of them around.
At these sites people are talking on every subject you
can imagine… from religion to pets to engineering, you
name it.
Where can I go?
For starters, you can go to places like Egroups or
Topica, and join in the discussion.
It is best to avoid sites that are not moderated,
because they can degenerate into a mess of postings
that have little value. A Discussion Board can be very
effective, especially if it is inside a members only
site.
It can be useful to post on a site that has a mix of
newbie marketers and experienced marketers. Two great

You can choose to either post questions to the list, or
answer questions that other people have posted.
The idea is not to spam the message board with your
product – or with a subject not under discussion. That’s
a fast way to get people mad at you. Stick to the topic
and it’s not considered spam.
Add content to the subject under discussion. Only answer
questions you know something about. I wouldn’t dare write
on servicing car engines if I know nothing about cars
except driving them. That’s another fast way to damage
your credibility.
Posting to Discussion Groups is an excellent way to get
your message out to people who will listen to you. It
gives you a chance to show you’re an expert.
You can answer the question and at the same time advertise
your site without it looking like a blatent plug for your
website.

8 Steps to Creating a Simple Business Plan for 2004

Your business plan is like a road map to long-term success.
Have you ever been in a situation where you didn't have a map
to find your destination and got lost wasting precious time and
money? Well, the same can happen to your business if you
don't plan out your business strategies.
Why you need a business plan.
It gives you a clear direction where your business is heading.
Many business owners just jump into creating a business
without researching and making a concrete plan.
Inevitably, they soon find that they are out of money and
have no time or clear strategies how to market their business.
Here are 8 simple steps to creating your own business plan
(this is by no means a comprehensive plan but a primer to get you
started):
1. Name of your business - create a name or reevaluate the name
of your business. Does it integrate well with what you are
selling? Is it easy to spell and remember? Is it a name that can
be well branded over time?
2. Vision - what will your business look like 5 years from now?
Think of how you may want to expand it to include other branches
or extra employees.
3. Mission statement - this defines what your business really
does, what activities it performs and what is unique about it
that stands out from your competitors.
4. Goals and objectives - clearly define what you want to
achieve with your business. Make sure they are quantifiable and
set to specific time lines. Set specific goals for each of your
products or services.
5. Strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, threats (SWOT) - by
analyzing these characteristics in your business, you will get a
clearer idea of what it will take for you to survive, but to but
also prosper.
This could include such factors as:
- your companies changing industry
- the marketplace which may change due to social and economic conditions.
- competition which may create new threats and/or opportunities.
- new technologies which may cause you to change products or the process
in how you do things.
Evaluating your SWOT will help you to:
- build on your strengths
- resolve your weaknesses
- exploit opportunities
- avoid threats
Doing this analysis will help you create a more realistic
strategic action plan.
6. Strategic action plan - this is the most critical step of
your business plan, because without it, your business will not
get off the ground. This should include your sales and marketing
strategies.

7. Financial plan - a business can operate without budgets, but
it is clearly good business practice to include it. With budgets, you
will be
more likely to achieve your business objectives, you will make
more-reasoned decisions and you will have better control of your
cash flow.
For any period, a cash flow statement would include:
- The cash and credit sales (or accounts receivable) expected to be
received during the period.
- The anticipated cash payments (for example, expenses for purchases,
salaries, utility charges, taxes, office expenses etc.)
- A description of other incoming and outgoing cash, with a calculation
of the overall cash balance.
This will assess how much money is on hand to meet your
financial obligations - what cash has been received and what has
been paid out. Knowledge of this cash flow cycle will help you
predict when you will receive funds and when you will be
required to make a payment.
8. Measuring and evaluation - you wrote your business plan and
set the goals with the intent of achieving them. So now break
them down into measurable pieces and monitor the results
regularly. A plan that cannot be measured is almost always
destined for failure. Celebrate your wins and recharge yourself
to accomplish your next goal.
Decide beforehand what constitutes a real serious loss and what
loss will be acceptable.
If you find your goals are unrealistic and unattainable, adjust
them, but realize that it takes hard work to achieve them, so
don't give up easily.
Conclusion:
Now that you have a business plan, make it a part of
you by knowing and understanding it clearly. Build upon it
continuously and refer to it often, so you remain on track to
building a profitable business.
