There's a lot of information to get through this week, so stay with me here. There's also an extremely cool new download from Jimmy Brown - read on!
Firstly there's two cool competitions to announce. You may have received information about the Push Button Publishing Competition a few days ago. This is the usual "Best recruiter wins" type of contest but it has a twist - you'll only be competing against your own `level`, i.e. Top recruiters will fight it out and the rest will only be ranked against each other. The two prizes are both $100. The PBP Affiliate program is free to join, and from past experience the winners have only had a few new signups! Give it a go.
PBP is a great program with a lot to offer. There are plenty of solo-ads and banners you can use on the site, and any signups do you make also have the benefit of paying you $20 up-front AND a recurring monthly commission. Sign up as an affiliate, and get those ads out :-) A quick tip: I've found PBP to be the perfect back-end product. You'll also get a free trial membership to `my digital advisor` if you enter. There's no catch to this one as you don't need to enter ANY `pay later` info!
Scams are starting to rear their ugly heads again. Whether they are from e-gold, ebay, paypal or whatever the format is always the same. You'll receive an email stating that they need you to confirm something, or check something. It may have a form in the email or may redirect you to a site. Beware! It's easy to `spoof` email headers so it looks like it's official, and it's even easier to adjust your browsers information so it looks like you're on the `real` site. Please, double check any emails you receive that are like this.
I've removed one program from our recommended list. That's Push Button Leads. My aim is always to only promote those programs I feel that will be profitable, and that I am working myself. Unfortunately, Push Button Leads (after a surge at the start) doesn't generate that many actual signups for me or any referrals. Perhaps I jumped in too early, perhaps I'm not marketing it correctly. It may work for you, but it's no longer being used by Netpreneur News. This in NO WAY has any reflection the original Push Button Publishing program which is STILL our #1!
NewWorldTeam is launching fast. If you're a member of the OWL Top 5000 you'll have been invited in first. If you're a member of the rest of OWL (including previous StartBlaze and ExitBlaze members) you'll also have received an email, and if you're a member of a myriad other downline clubs you may also have received a notice.
I'll try to clarify this process a little! New World Team is destined to be a big program with a LOT of people due to join. The cost is $40 a month, but this is covered as soon as you get a couple of signups which usually happens automatically from spillover if you're in early. OWL Top 5000 are in first, followed by the rest of OWL, then by other downline clubs. There is also a pre-launch team at the root of these `other` clubs.
I have TWO positions in New World Team. One is the OWL Top 5000 and one is in the Pre Launch Leaders team. IF you haven't been invited in feel free to join one of these. As momentum grows these early positions will be very valuable!
ScreenBlaze is on its second release already, and is gathering a fair amount of traffic. It's working fine for me now and has more features such as bookmarking, forward and reverse controls, etc. It also shows a page for a whole minute, something that's good for your site. PermaWorld has re launched its Earth Care debit card. It's technically fr'ee but requires a $20 donation to obtain one. You can also win one if you sponsor enough people. This $20 saves 20 Trees in the Amazon Rain Forest. PermaWorld is one way to make money that you can feel good about!. This also heralds a new commission paying bonus program for PermaWorld. For every tree saved ($1) you earn $.25 - so if you personally sponsor 10 members who save 200 trees you earn $50.
PermaWorld is only $10 a month, it's unbelievable value - since you get the Veretekk system and a pro Autoresponder thrown in. For those who don't know what Veretekk is please check the site. It's a highly evolved lead management system which gives you special portal sites that offer fr'ee services such as search engine submission, FFA, Fr'ee Vacations etc. These portals then get prospects for you to whom you can market your program. Lastly I'd like to take this opportunity to plug the two training opportunities we promote. Training is essential for all Marketers, and by following simple instructions you can succeed in a `step-by-step` fashion. Because the entire Internet Marketing industry is automated, unlike traditional business, you can have total generic systems that only require simple human input. One day, no doubt, computers could do it all... imagine just running a program that does all its own payment collections, promotion and delivery by itself! Believe me, not such a far fetched idea :-)

POSITIVE TIP from Mr. Fanta$tic
A great lesson in Life is learn to Give of yourself without
expecting or demanding anything in return. One way to
practice that is to "Pass on something Good everyday". You
could offer to carry something for someone, or run an errand,
or maybe mow the lawn for an elderly neighbor. If nothing
else, why not give a complete stranger a compliment and
watch how you've just brightened up their day. If you
haven't already done so go rent the Movie called "Paying It
Forward". It's a great positive Movie about someone doing
something nice for you and than you need to pay it forward 3
times.
SALES SKILL from Mr. Fanta$tic
One of the secrets of Mega-Buck Sales Pros is that they
learn to Control conversations. That should start with the
Secretary or Screener. If you allow them to keep asking
questions and only give them answers, eventually they will
determine why they aren't going to let you through. The way
to avoid that is by using the "Fish Hook Technique". Every
time they ask you a question, respond with an answer and
then immediately add a question of your own. If they ask;
"Who's calling?" you could say; "This is Stan Billue, are they
available now?" (Please use your own name, not mine). Or if
they ask; "What is this call about?" you could say; "It's
regarding a personal financial matter, could you please tell
them that I'm calling long distance?" This is also a great
technique to use during Qualifying to keep from being
brain-picked. If the Prospect keeps asking questions, give
them an answer and immediately respond with a question of
your own to gain more information and regain your Control.

"Six Useless Ideas Most Sales
Programs Teach!"

I'm a professional sales trainer. Every day I'm on
the front lines, experimenting and testing every principle
I teach. If something doesn’t work, I toss it aside and look
for something that will work. I can’t afford to waste time on
useless ideas. Here are just a few of the "useless" ideas
that most sales courses teach:
Useless Idea #1: You need to become a
"Motivated Seller"
Take an idiot and motivate him. What do you have?
A "motivated idiot."
There is nothing worse than a really bad salesperson
with a lot of motivation. Have you ever heard the phrase:
"Nothing will make a bad product fail quicker than good
advertising"?
If you don’t know what you’re really selling, if your technology
is outdated and you’re headed in the wrong direction with
almost every person you speak with, why would you want to
become "more motivated" and move yourself into the wrong
direction faster?
It amazes me how many people will work really hard doing
all the wrong things right! They spend years tinkering with
outmoded systems and wonder why they keep getting second-
rate results.
Useless Idea #2: You need more "sophisticated" sales
techniques.
I’ve spent eleven years and countless thousands of dollars
studying all the best sales courses I could get my hands on.
I read all the books, listened to all the tape programs, and have
been to many seminars. I studied each program like a detective,
methodically pulling out the best techniques from each system
and applying them immediately into every situation I could imagine.
But the more I studied these programs and practiced the various
techniques, the more frustrated I became.
Nothing I found seemed to work!
In fact, most sales training programs aren’t designed to work.
And if you need proof, try using a fancy closing technique with
one of your kids or try "information gathering" with your spouse!
If you can’t get away with those so-called "skills" with the people you love the most, why on earth would you use them with your
customers?
Yet that’s precisely what most salespeople do.
They employ manipulative strategies and "techniques" on
their customers that they wouldn’t dare use on their families
and friends.
It’s no surprise that the profession of selling ranks just
above postal workers and tax collectors!
Useless Idea #3: You need to learn how to "close" people.
The "sales close" is one of the worst inventions to enter
the domain of professional selling.
Closing techniques are nothing more than an assault on
human intelligence. Using a hard close is like using a
sledgehammer to pull out a delicate fossil. People aren’t
machines -- they don’t have particular buttons to push in
order to get them to respond a certain way.
If people were really that predictable, if sales were really
nothing more than finding the correct "lever" to pull and
then tugging on it with all your might, then selling people
would be a lot like sticking money in a slot machine (and
just as disappointing).
Useless Idea #4: You need to find the "perfect" product
or service.
A lot of people blame their products or services for poor
sales performance -- and sometimes they’re right. But even
the world’s most fantastic product won’t move if it’s preceded
by an offensive, self-centered pitch.
Useless Idea #5: You need to learn how to "handle objections."
A poor salesperson is an objection waiting to happen. Learning
how to "handle" these objections is like learning how to bail out
a rowboat after the boat is sunk.
Knowing how to correctly sell eliminates all objections because
your client, customer, or loved-ones have absolutely nothing
whatsoever to object.
Useless Idea #6: You need to work harder as a salesperson.
Even people with extensive training and university degrees get
it wrong. (And yes, even people with six figure incomes and half-
million dollar homes - who could be making much more, get it wrong, too).
They think selling is hard work and they think the harder they
work, the more sales they’ll make. In my system, the exact
opposite is true. The less you work, the more the system works
for you.

A very nicely presented site with, as it says, 101 Tips. This is a good place to browse and who knows, you might pick something up :-) 101 Free Tips is also available as an eBook. Note: Push Button Publishing Members - you can use these articles to promote PBP, full rights granted!
I haven't tried this myself yet (hence no affiliate link) but it's something you may want to look at. It's an interesting mailer program which claims to have good conversion rates and strong leads. You'll need to do your own testing to evaluate this. There is also an affiliate program with this and currently there's a `free platinum upgrade` offer which you could also promote.
